ABOUT CANYON CREST ACADEMY WRESTLING
Canyon Crest Academy Wrestling is a team dedicated to promoting the sport of wrestling and developing student-athletes of character and confidence.
Our team is made up of dedicated coaches, athletes, and supporters who are passionate about the sport of wrestling. We work hard to help our athletes develop their skills and reach their full potential.

Missael Rodriguez
Coach Missael,
Born in San Diego, CA but grew up in San Ysidro, CA. He wrestled for San Ysidro High School 4 years and 3 years as a varsity starter. He was team captain during his junior and senior year, and helped San Ysidro win their first league and conference titles during his senior year. Coach Missael is also a CIF DIV 1 placer, Masters qualified, 2x Metro conference first team, and Mexican-American national team member in 2012.

Coach Missael has previously coached for San Ysidro High school 2012-2015 seasons.

Junior Varsity Coach
Arath Rodriguez
Coach Arath Rodriguez
Wrestled for 4 years with San Ysidro High School, 2 of those years as a varsity starter. In 2013-2016 Coach Arath won 3 league and 1 metro conference team championships (2013). Coach Arath was ranked top 5 in San Diego in his weight class 195lbs. Placed 4th in CIF Div 2 - one of the toughest Divisions back then - and was a Masters qualifier.
Now coach Arath brings knowledge and skills to CCA wrestling alongside his brother/ head coach Missael.
